Sprinting British Triathlon Over the Line with Olympic Fever

British Triathlon asked us to produce a suite of articles for their website, which would help those inspired by watching the sport at the Olympics to understand and access triathlon.

Sports participation is a speciality of the Cockadoodledoo Team, so we jumped to help get more people into the sport.

Using our copywriting and editing skills, we crafted new articles and updated existing ones into a more reader-friendly format. It’s important to us that we are seen as an extension of any team we are working with, and we worked closely with the staff at British Triathlon throughout to ensure we were on track with information.

Although the focus was on giving people the knowledge they needed to get started and progress in triathlon, as a membership organisation, we needed to weave in links to the benefits of membership and direct readers to the correct areas of the website to sign up.

We delivered all the articles well within the given time frame, giving British Triathlon plenty of time to get them on their website to capture Olympic fever.

The team expressed how pleased they were with the results of our dive into the exciting world of triathlon.

‘It was great to work with Cock-a-doodle-doo, supporting us to develop new tailored content aimed at people who are new to triathlon. These new articles form part of our Paris-Inspired plans, encouraging more people to get involved and enjoy triathlon and Swim Bike Run events.’

Jenny Spencer – Head of Marketing – British Triathlon

Following the publication of the articles, we were also delighted to hear that a large commercial triathlon event organiser had shared one of the articles in their newsletter—further great promotion for British Triathlon, increasing traffic to their website.
