About the project

As the 151st Open entertained at Royal Liverpool, we helped England Golf swing into action with a campaign that drives golfing ambition into communities across the UK.

The campaign ‘Driving it Home’ is presented by England Golf Alumni Tommy Fleetwood. Pictured in his hometown of Southport, Tommy shines a spotlight on the start of his journey in an aspirational campaign that asks the question- Where will you tee off?

Fleetwood, an England Golf ambassador and five-time winner on the DP World Tour and Ryder Cup star, grew up playing Golf on the many links courses around Southport. The campaign speaks relevancy, bringing the game of golf home. Backed by England Golf’s ‘Find and Play’ service, the campaign encourages people of all ages across the UK to pick up a club and give it a go.

About the campaign

The campaign launches alongside the 151st Open at Royal Liverpool, leveraging the heightened interest in Golf.

Teeing off on Southport Pier, the creative generated a whopping 70% increase in web traffic and 200k impressions from just a single billboard. Accompanied by a digital suite of assets for use across social media and the England Golf website, this campaign was a hole-in-one!
